Then their prices in full should be quoted, clearly so we can decide whether to use their services. If there is no overdraft facility then they should refuse any payment and not write to us, therefore no cost. They should not charge for such event.glider3560 wrote: »People seem to think they have a right to lend the bank's money - which they don't.
I think you mean 'borrow' :rotfl: and I think you'll find it is like a tax rebate, isn't itglider3560 wrote: »If you know a payment is due to leave your account and your account won't cover it - cancel the payment and seek an alternative method to pay the bill. After all, you don't have any right to the bank's money so why should they lend it to you?
Jees - for the 255th time, what if you don't know a payment is due to leave, say a mistake or overcharge? A lot of things can and evidently do go wrong. If only life was as black-and-white as you portray it to be:D

Like myself? What, live in a lovely big house, earn great money and have 3 cards with £0 owing and have 3 cars, 4 family holidays a year (one to my villa in greece) and don't want for anything? You mean those types of people yea? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

And I am rather lucky. I get just over £4500 from grandparents a year to pay for all costs.
I see you like to bang on about people being ignorant about their finances, preparing for unforseen circumstances. Nice to see that your grandparents give you enough to pay for all your costs plus some besides, unfortunately not everyone is as fortunate as you to people who can bank roll them while they preach to others about managing their finances, what a joke. Try managing without your 'handout' for a year, maybe then you will have a better understanding about budgeting on a fixed income.0 -
To be fair I give my daughter £500 per month as a kind of bursary in exchange that she works hard and gets a good result..... any parent worth their salt want's the best for their kids - whilst I see what you're saying, if they have agreed this with lokolo then I don't see the problem - its the same as budgeting in your student loan.
I'm not having a go at students cos some are good, lokolo (generally) is and so is my daughter (maybe cos i'm a tight sod lol)....2010 - year of the troll

I have done for the past 7 months.
I am on a year out. No help. I take home £1028.86 a month. I managed to save around £300-£500 a month depending how drunk I get at weekends in that month.never-in-doubt wrote: »To be fair I give my daughter £500 per month as a kind of bursary in exchange that she works hard and gets a good result..... any parent worth their salt want's the best for their kids - whilst I see what you're saying, if they have agreed this with lokolo then I don't see the problem - its the same as budgeting in your student loan.

Just to wind up the do-gooders:
Read it and weep! Think we're gonna lose the 12 test cases do you? lol - bring it on!
Another unenforceability victory :cool::cool:Hi NID, fantastic news this morning! I've had a letter from lowell's confirming that they are closing the file and will not be pursuing me for any more money.
I can't believe it! This has taken less than 3 weeks to sort out.
So HUGE thanks to you for all your help and advice. If it hadn't been for this thread I would have carried on paying over £100 a month on a well disputed account.
This couldn't have come at a better time especially with my husband having lost another £100 a month in hours.
The response above touches more heart strings, to me, than any bank bragging about their annual bonus. :cool:2010 - year of the troll
