    i got one of the external HDs from aldi for £120 i think and its 250gb

    Mmmm,
    I was there this week and got scared away by what it said on the box in small print stating that for optimum speed some hyperspeed usb cable was not included.

    Ain't doubting you.
    I haven't bought it and cannot saying a word against one who has been there and done that kinda of thing.

    (Here's a man with a lot of confidence not to look at operating system requirements before buyig a box :o )

    maybe freecom provide a USB cable but not a posh high speed one of the best performance...
