Why would you want to pay almost £700 when you could just contact your supplier yourself?

Do you know what your MPAN number starts with? If it's 03 then you should be on a single rate 24hours per day, if it's 04 then it's a day night meter. If it's something else (there are 10 profiles in total) then let me know.

Why do they think you should be on different prices? Have they given any indication?

It might or might not be a con, there a re plenty of companies operating in this space i.e. billing error recovery, 99% of which are legitimate. I wouldn't pay an upfront fee though, it should all be on a results basis.

To answer the next poster saying "do it yourself", unless you know the in's and out's of MPAN's, contractual positions, which department to speak to etc etc it's unlikely you will recover as much as a specialist firm. It's like doing your tax returns yourself vs using a tax accountant.

    07 means:
A meter with MD recording capability and with a Load Factor less than or equal to 40% and greater than 30% i.e. flatter than most supplies across the day. The highest is 08 and that's usually used for manaufacturers with a 24/7 shift pattern which has flatish use across 24 hours.
07 is not quite so "flat" if you imagine a graph of hourly usage.
In reference to your specific query it means that your tariff in terms of the number of time periods will depend on the contract you signed up to in conjunction with the make/model of meter installed.

Does your bill match your contract? Yes, No or don't understand the contract/bill to be able to judge that?

What is your annual spend i.e. what percentage of the annual spend is £3500?

Finally - why does the company asking for £325 upfront think that 11p isn't the right rate? Have you said something to them? Have they seen the bill and contract?

Send me a private message with the name of the company and I'll let you know my thoughts on them i.e. good, bad or indifferent, I know the industry well.

Credit scores seem to have become crucial..according to powerswitch.com which gives instant prices the higher your score, the lower the electricity price and the more choice you'll have, If you score over 46 you should be fine, below that and the options drop and prices increase these days!

Hi, think this may be the correct place- Quidco were offering small businesses £500 for a dual fuel business switch to Scottish power. They're not now. Does anyone know which cashback company they've moved to, or are intending to move to.
  • can Somebody Please Help Me ???? I am two weeks Into My New Business & I was called By a Company called BES (Business Energy Solutions ) Who over the phone seemed to give me a great deal ! After going over the facts and figures with my Husband it turned out that the deal wasn't that great so I called them to cancel switching over after deciding to stay with the supplier I was already with, unfortunately this company has no cooling off period to which was NOT explained to me and after numerous phone calls to them they will not let me out of their contract. Is there anything I can do to get out of this very expensive agreement as they are flatly refusing to help me.

Your current supplier can object to the transfer, if it rejects a few times BES will give up trying to take it over. If your account is "in debt" the transfer won't happen hence pay your bill but say a penny short.
Your current supplier will also object if it is in contract, hence call up and agree a new contract with your current supplier, it will be cheaper because if you are on out of contract rates now you will be being robbed on the pence per kWh. This is preferable to going the in debt route.

There is no cooling off period for business contracts.
They are not obligated to explain that to you.
Refer to the contract you agreed to with regards to ending the agreement or any other opt-out possibility (if any).
