scenario-limo hire which was disgustingly filthy. Appalling smell which resulted in two members of a party being sick inside.
Spoke to limoe company who after hearing about our complaints and refusal to pay the full soiling charge said they could send the limo to our address and we clean it which we accepted. That offer was retracted and said they wanted full payment.

As i accepted the offer to clean the car (would have clean carpet with carpet cleaner etc as hubby runs a carpet cleaning service) and it was taken away where do I stand with being charged for soiling? I have offered to pay half in respect of the state of the car.

Before anyone says, no one was drunk-no alcohol was consumed. The smell was damp, beer sodden carpet smell. Vile!

Damp smell, beer sodden carpet? Sounds like most pubs/clubs I know. 2 of your party couldn't ask the limo driver to 'pull over'....why? Is your husband and your partner 1 and the same?

Why on EARTH would you agree to clean a filthy car you hired??
Anyone else would have refused to pay...FULL STOP

Limo's are the ultimate in Chav cringeworthy Blingage... I would be very surprised if there are ANY Limos not stinking of booze

The driver refused to pull over when we asked him even though it was safe too. Wouldn't open the windows. The smell was awful. The only reason we go into the limo was because it was a return leg of a booking we made and had no alternative to get home.

hubby/partner same thing. Not sure what that has to do with it.

Unless you were in the limo then you won't understand how the smell made two people ill and 6 others nausous.

I offered to clean where there had been vomit instead of paying the soiling charge.

No one is trying to get out of paying, just accepting their part in this scenario.

There was a smell but all the windows were open so it wasn't as bad as the return leg.

Can anyone answer my question about being held accountable for paying when I accepted an offer to clean which was retracted?

Did you fail to read the party where no alcohol was consummed?

It wasn't a chav party at all, just transport to an event where again no alcohol was consummed.

I think unless you have something constructive to contribrute then don't reply please.

Couldn't you open the windows on the way back, and at least have your friends try to throw up out of them? lol
