Wondered what the score is with CSA
if the father decides to sign birth certificate whats the plus's and the minus's?
If the father earns 30k a year but mother does not earn anything and isnt planning to for a good 1 or 2 years what are the plus's and minus's for the father?
If the father has an agreement to pay the mother child maintenance again whats the plus's and minus's for the mother/father? what if the mother says the agreement is £20(arguement sake) a month? then what? do they say this is not sufficient? do they deduct the £20 or anything else from the mothers benefit entitlement?
I know a father who went to court and now pays £1 a month for child maintenance and hes in full time work earning 30k a year

It is would be best to come to an arrangement with the PWC rather than CSA but all of these points should be aimed at what is best for the child. One life.0

If going to do a private agreement make sure it's documented well!
Is this normal practice? seems unproffesional to me.
but he is unemployed, maybe thats why?0 -
According to a friend her ex bf was at the birth of there baby and the baby is in his surname. There not married but csa has not chased him, infact he has notbeen in contact with anyone the mother just said verbally that they have an agreement. They didnt ask how much or anything.

E2A: before your benefits would be reduced.*SIGH*0 -
A pwc no longer needs to get in contact with the CSA it is up to her if she wants to pursue child support.

So with a case where the mother says there has been an agreement with the father but they are no longer together. What will happen from there on?0 -

Who is the mother telling there is a private agreement with the father? The Income Support people?
If yes, then she tells them how much she is getting weekly from the ex in child support and she keeps £20 a week of it and any extra means her Income Support is adjusted accordingly. It will be decreased somewhat depending on how much he is paying her.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

You can either both come to a private agreement without having to involve the CSA, or you can go via the CSA.
If the PWC is on benefits she must declare the child support whether it's a private agreement or via the CSA.*SIGH*0 -
Why would a mother and father who were together have an agreement?

if the agreeent was £50 she gets to keep £20? and the rest goes...? does the father have to show any proof of sending the money each month? or does the funds have to go through a 3rd party?0
