Business Advertising Ltd is a DODGY MARKETING COMPANY!
Has anyone been contacted by this company inviting you for an interview?
If so, do not go! It advertises jobs as graduate trainee marketing executives and trainee management positions but this company is far from glamourous.
It is a run of the mill DOOR TO DOOR SALES COMPANY that preys on young impressionable graduates and the unemployed with promise of progression and huge earnings.
Basically this company is about lying to candidates and sucking them in with talk of money and opportunity when the money doesnt even exist.
I worked for Kevin O'neill for quite some time and learned most of his tips and tricks along the way.
Without going into too much detail, the office has between 10 and 25 salesmen/women at any one time. Most have only been there a matter of weeks but some have been there for a few months. It is very rare to come across someone who is in the business for more than 6 months.
The sales team sell TalkTalk door to door or go begging people on behalf of charities.
Kevin claims to earn in the region of £70-£150K. (this figure varies alot).
The idea is that you hire someone, train them up through 3 or 4 stages and then they get promoted to manager of an office where you earn as much as Kevin.
BUT and thats a BIG BUT: Kevin only earns around £14K a year as a salary from a company called PerDM owned by Jesse Young (google him or his company).
Kevin claims that he owns his own business and whatever profit the office makes is his but this is a lie.
If you get a phonecall or an email from this company or any of its affilates, ( I will attatch a link) save yourself some time and money and dont go.
Please feel free to share any experiences or information about this copany here!
Does anyone have more of an idea how this company works or where they are?

I have worked at this company Tinkerbell, there are already loads of posts about this company on MSE,
You are right about the company that guy is a conman. We have given Business Advertising Ltd alot of bad press on this site aswel as others.
As a result, Kevin has had to change the company name several times beacuse when alot of people post on a thread like this, it ends up at the top of results page on google which means if someone goes for an interview and decides to do a bit of research on the company they come across threads like this that warn job seekers that they are wasting their time!
It is currently Business Advertising Ltd but previous names are as follows;
JPK advertising Ltd,
KPJ Enterprises Ltd.
Search these two previous names on google and read the hundreds of responses. Its a real eye opener.

This company is part of a large pyramid scheme called DS-MAX.
DS-MAX has many branches such as COBRA and PerDM contact marketing.
Kev is at the bottom of the foodchain in this pyramid and the people who actually work the streets are lower than that.
I worked for Kev for a long time and took a long time to figure the guy out. He is an exceptional salesman and has the ability to read people and manipulate their thoughts and attitude.
The labour turnover is very near to 100% in a matter of months, people come and go. But Kev is very good at making the people who leave look weak and stupid when they are actually the smart one!
Kev is stuck in this business and I believe that if he could, he would get out BUT,
he owes PerDM thousands of pounds that they loaned him to set up office in liverpool. So at the moment, he is paid a modest salary whilst all of the profit the office makes goes to Jesse Young towards his next aston martin.
He is barely touching the interest of the loan and is an a vicious circle of hiring people to do sales to keep up with the payments.
Heres how it works;
Salesman makes sale to old couple,
TalkTalk pay office £45,
Salesman gets £20,
Office gets £25.
In theory this looks a good profitable business but when you look closer,
Out of the £25 that the office gets, around £18 goes to PerDM.
This leaves Kevin with £7.
The £7 multiplied by how many sales the office makes over any given period of time is the production.
Over the course of a very good week, the office may sign 100 old ladies up to TalkTalk.
This means that the office makes £700.
Out of the £700 you have to pay the receptionist to email everyone in Liverpool every week about £250. You also have to pay the rent, rates and insurance etc to Bruntwood for renting Kev his lovely office. Plus you also have to pay for advertising costs etc.
You also have to pay companies house to change your company name every few months.
So the money thats left is what Kev claims gets put into his bank account.
But because he owes PerDM money, he doesnt get this profit. Even if he did he would only be getting £20K max. PerDM take the profit against the balance he owes on the loan and they pay him enough money to get buy and to buy a suit from Next and an Astra to try and convince people he is dirt rich.
How long will it be until the truth is uncovered again when all this information floats up to the top of google kev? :money:
try researching these on google:
DS-Max,
Cobra group,
PerDM,
Granton,
Innovage,
IPG imports,
Jesse young - MD of PerDM,
Pro-Sales,
Kevin O'neill,
Tai Hussain - Kevs boss,
This marketing system is well known in the USA and banned in some states as it is considered slavery.
It is even on wikipedia as multilevel marketing.
Please share your experiences on this thread so that Business advertising Ltd will have to change names again. (even though Kev is getting crafty amd using a very general company name so its harder to appear on google)

Some very bitter people on this thread.0

Does this guy also go by the name of Kevin Kelly?0

Have you asked MSE before you post stuff like this on here?

well he's changed his company name many times so i dont doubt that h would use another name to avoid bing rumbled.
Kevin O'neill is getting a bit of a name for himself and when people search him or his company on google, people can see hundrds of accounts of peoples experience with dodgy marketing companies.
So in answer to your question, yes he probably is using a differnt name!

Well considering i am saving people money by not wasting there time going to an interview with one of these companies. Also saving people from taking this job and ending up spending just as much money as they earn on expenses that should be paid for by the company you work for!0 -

Have you ever thought that maybe some people are quite happy with doing this sort of job and are maybe even good at it?0 -

Would you be happy doing it? If it is as described by jonboy69 it is most likely barely legal, and at best unethical. :mad:0 -
This is all just peoples opinions.
For all the most of us know they could be legit businesses.
I'll let abuse decide.

Oh dear looks like I have been conned as well, I went to an interview with a Kevin Kelly (irish guy?) today in Leicester and was suspicious all along he had 1 office room probably rented out in a big building which was used for renting to other businesses as well.
Anyway the interview was only for 5 minutes; promising good progression and that you would be a team leader within 8-10 months. Says that he will call back the top 15% of applicants he interviews (in reality everyone gets called back) to attend an assessment centre the next day which is probably when you get sent out to do the door to door selling stuff. Luckily I have checked the web tonight and seen threads like this which means I will obviously not be going back.
By the way I applied through Reed if anyone wants to know
Be aware people!!0
