hi

can anyone assist me?

i ordered a phone through mobileshop, but i didnt receive the cashback "vouchers", i have contacted them via email, but in te mean time can anyone give me advice as to what happened when you got your order if you ordered with them before? i cant think that this is some "tactic" to get away from paying my cashback when it comes round, as from the reviews mobileshop seem reputable.

any help advice would be greatfully received.

thanks..

I think mobilshop have stopped using their voucher system...
Check the FAQ section of their website.

mobileshop say that "Full claim details are included when you receive your order."
If they are not in your pack I would talk to customer services. They have a live chat line for help.

    From Mobileshop terms and conditions:

"On the 15th May 2006 we changed the cash back process and no longer print cash back vouchers. We now have two set's of Term's and Conditions dependant on when you purchased..."

DrGrimson is correct. As of 15th May 2006 vouchers are no longer required for cashback claims.

However, there is a huge mistake on mobileshop's cashback terms page. The link for 'Before 15th May 2006' Ts and Cs actually displays the Ts and Cs for 'After 15th May 2006' and vice versa!

A genuine mistake I'm sure but confusing if you don't spot this straight away. I have contacted mobileshop to get this rectified.

    Cheers

Without a paper claim form with explicit end dates on it to remind me to send the claim off it would most likely make me forget to claim at the right time... :) Surely that's not their plan :)

yes I'm fairly sure that is the plan. We replaced both our phone in feb. 2 different companies, 2 very vague sets of info as to how and when I should send in my bills. I emailed both CS department asking thme to give me specific dates. I quoted their T&C's, gave them my purchase dates and date of first bills. What I got back was just as vague as their original T&Cs. Very very unhelpful.
I've put dates in my diary and store all my bills, a copy of the relevant t&cs in a large envelope. I've just sent in my first set of bills so here are fingers crossed!!!!!

    hi peeps,

just a quick update with regards to this, i emailed CS, and got a reply saying that i wasnt ENTITLED to any cashback..erm it clearly states that i am...the offer is still on the site!!

anyway the woman i was corresponding with via email, apologised when i pointed this out. so she send out the "vouchers" but i didnt receive any vouchers, i wazs given a sheet with details that i was eligable for 10months free line rentals and a "code", it then geos on to say to claim the cashback to just write a "code" on the relevant airtime bill that i send off.

so can anyone who has brought recently through Mobileshop confirm this process?

    thanks
  • I can confirm that they have ceased sending out cashback vouchers.

All they require are COPIES of the appropriate phones bills which you endorse with the appropriate cashback code (which is sent to you with all your paperwork and your order).

I recently (around 24th May) bought two contract phones on cashback deals via the Mobileshop - and having had vouchers before for my last deal and not receiving them this time, I queried it with them.

I actually think doing away with the vouchers is a major step forward. If your claim goes astray in the post, you only have to start again with another COPY of your phone bill. If the vouchers went astray in the post - that was the end of your claim as the conditions then were that they would never be replaced.

Nah, my Mobileshop vouchers were printed on plain old A4 so I've got photocopies of them and they are identical to the original.

Receiving Mobileshop chequeback as a bank transfer rather than as a cheque was a major step forward though.
