I have now come to the conclusion that HSBC are brain dead muppets too this wekend and will most likely move my account as I really can't deal with them any more
Hi, Can suggest Alliance and Leicester for a great Acc and if you use Quidco to get it they even pay you to open the Acc, brillant savings Acc linked to it aswell as Great rates on CA.
Good luck,

Thankyou!! :T
I was looking at that acc, and really wanted to open it. But unfortunately you have to have a minimum of £500 going into it each month, and as I am a stay at home mum I have no where near that amount going in. When the kiddies go to school I will be returning to work so will be able to open it then. It's such a shame as it does look like a great account. I have told the OH to change to it tho as the 0% intrest on OD's would come in handy!! I will let him know about the quidco part now as well.
Thanks again Ranger!! :T:jI live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here

Thought I would come and give you an update.
Well the car has been sold now
Our pride and joy will be gone in a few days and replaced with a cheaper one, which will also save on fuel, tax and insurance. We are getting a cheque for the difference from the trade in which will pay off some of a card. (yep they are that high
)
Also have paid off a Dorothy Perkins card I had which is one less thing to worry about!! :j
And I have sold my first item on ebay!! Didn't get much but it is a start!!
Shopping is still staying low even with me permenantly drinking at the mo, just buying cheap. Still can't give up the ciggies yet tho, been so stressed and upset recently that I just can't face it.
Small steps tho, we seem to be getting somewhere!!I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here

Don't forget to phone up and cancel the DP card hun! Demand that you get a letter confirming that it's closed. This way it will make your potential debt less and make you more appealing to future lenders for 0% cards and that sort of thing!

Well done on the car though! Your doing good!

Well we got the new car yesterday!! See it HERE
And you can see pics of the old car on my birthday thread in the arms. It was gutting to get rid, but we needed to.
On the upside tho I did get to drive it before it went!! :j
We now have some money back from the trade in to pay off some debt!!

Ok when I said we now have some money back from the trade in I was jumping the gun a bit!! The cheque still has not arrived and so OH ended up having to ring the bank to extend his OD. Some of the money was to go toward paying that off, but it seems to be taking an age to arrive. I hope it hasn't got lost or anything, I would of thought maybe with such an amount of money paying straight into his account or giving him the cheque would of been best. But I am not very up with those things. I think he is going to contact the dealership today to see what is happening.
We have decided to go on hols next week, gonna go on a cheapy. OH has decided I need it as I have been so up and down recently due to a personal let down. Been close to ending it all again but have pulled myself up from that and am just feeling like an emotional wreck. Think I may have to go back on the anti~d's tho, and I was doing so well without them. The great thing about stress and depression tho is that ya don't eat a lot. Been living on sandwiches and beans on toast and the such, lol. So top moneysaving there!!
We have got some big items to sell on ebay coming up, so they should bring in a fair whack of cash which will help a lot!!
Starting to feel a bit better about the debt's now, well positive is more the word I think. Things don't seem so desperate!!I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here

That's great news, I hope that it helps with your health probs having a great weight taken off. We had a very similar experience that helped us to be debt free and it really is such a relief.
It does make me feel nervous about backsliding tho' because it wasn't as hard work to become debt free as for some:o .
