Management supplimental enquiries

Does anyone here know if it's common for a seller to have to pay the management company to get them to fill out the 'Management supplimentary enquiries' form?
Just wondered as we're right on the edge of completion and our buyer has asked for this to be filled out. Turns out the management company have to do it and they're going to charge me between £200-300 + VAT for it!!!! It's confused me though because I would've thought it'd be the buyer that pays for something like that?!??
Thanks in advance!!

Nope - Playfield Management.
And can you believe the guy got annoyed and threatened to hang up on me when I said it seemed a bit extortionate to have to pay at least £235 for a sheet of paper!?!? lol!!
Guessing there's no way out of it then?0 -

They held up my flat sale for over six weeks becuase it took them ages to send all the information back, even after repeated chasing!!!
I'm afraid you will just have to pay up.Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856

Can any of our resident solicitors offer any advice, or have I got no choice but to pay it??0 -
When we bought our house we only found out about the management company fee when we saw the solicitor to sign the contract. He told us then that it would be £125 I think. He just paid them direct and then added it onto our bill at the end - unfortunately there was no way to get out of it. The solicitor warned us that the management companies charge to change the names because they like to charge whenever they can. If we want to move a wall they will charge for permission, if we want a conservatory they will charge even when planning permission isn't needed etc. He said that they rarely say no to any work leaseholders want to make to their house as they make the money from giving them permission to do the work! He said it's usually around £250 a time! He warned us to always pay the lease on time too otherwise they will add on a lot of payment overdue charges! Lovely0
