Vodafone problems grrrrrrrrrr

What is it with Vodafone, do we have to come to this site just to sort out what seem to be simple issues?

Came to an end of a 18 month contract

Was offered retention deal, 12 month sim only £9.79 a month 600 mins ? Unlimited text, simple?

Affraid not.

First month;
Charged full price. rang up, "no problem, there's a note on your account on offer made, our mistake will sort it out now"

Second month;
Charged full price. Rang up, "Don't know how that happened, there's a note on your account on offer made, sorted out now, will be corrected next bill"

Third month;
Charged full price + £192 charge for cancellation prior to contract end date. (really)
Rang up, "Sorry nothing on your account about that offer" after speaking to their manager, agreed to original offer.

Now get a letter saying all is correct, but 12 month contract has only just started, 3 months late, so in fact they get me on 15 month contract instead of 12.
Thats only if next months bill is correct!

So i now have to ring them again, at my cost and time.

Moral of the story;

Write everything down.
Take names and dates.
And dont believe a single word they tell you.

    Were you upgrading 3 months early, hence making 15 months with the 12 month extension?

    The vodafone rep on here will no doubt help but when I had a small issue with them on a contract with them, I visited the vodafone eforum web site and someone picked up my query quickly. You might want to try that to get things sorted (if not already) http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/

    Its just the fact that they've had 3 chances to sort it out.

    I think they just hope people give up, lifes to busy for a lot of poeple to sit down and check through bills, get all paperwork together then spend ages waiting to get through to them, this applies not just to Vodafone i should say, I just think this is there policy and they must make many millions out of doing this.

    Sorry to hear that mate my family 8 A/C will leave Vodafone as soon as contract finish. Vodafone is a rubbish co. now, just go somewhere. Some people work there complete useless and a liar.

  • So iv'e followed Vodafone represenative's advise and i now have email with promise everything is sorted out.

    Lets see what surprises next months bill brings first
