I know the OP stated preferably instore bbqs but i thought I would post this for anyone else looking that maybe wouldn't mind ordering online.

Half price at £12.99 & Delivery £3.50 but if you could make the order up to £40 delivery is free ( get some BOGOF smellies to stock up or something? ) also you may be lucky and find a promo code to get extra points or money off.

You get £1.50 extra Advantage Card points as well as the 4 per £1 spent (if you've got an Advantage card of course)

    Also this Gas one http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1069157

Half price at £49.99 for those of you thinking about gas. This one also has extra card points (250) plus normal spend points. free delivery too. MOre chance of a promo code for this level of spend I would think.

Just bought one of these http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1069157 except mine's the same model from lidl at £39.99, it was one of their specials on monday last.
Not a bad model however I don't expect it to last more than a couple of years.
Also the gas is expensive, the bbq comes with a larger higher pressure regulator and it costs £25 "deposit" for the bottle of which only £15 is refundable and the gas itself costs £15 for 9.5kg.

I changed the regulator on mine and use lower pressure LPG which is no deposit and £14.65 for 12.5kg of gas, it still works fine.
if i had known then what i know now

I would recomend getting a half decent one if you plan to use it alot.
I spent 100 quid on a half brarrel one 2 years ago which has done me well (I do lots of bbqs), though before that I had a 20 quid fold up one from argos one that did the job fine.

Though if you find cheap brickets let me know as I get thuogh them.

I love bbq's and over the years have bought a fair few. I have had gas and charcoal. Personally I would always go for charcoal to get the authentic flavour and I would always go for a kettle type (ie with a hinged lid) as a good way of getting the meat cooked properly without being burned.
You soon get the hang of getting it good and hot, putting the meat etc in and then closing the lid with just enough air to keep it cooking but not enough to allow for flaming when the fat hits the charcoal. (flaming causes everything to become black and burned)
I find that a cheap one lasts two or three years depending on how often you use it.
The Boots one looks a good buy

    Hi,
I've ordered the boots one (the weather would have turned by the time I get !) but now I'm looking on Argoa and i see they are selling 2 burner ones for the same price as the Boots single burner --I take it 2 is better than 1?
