Superb 3 offer, I missed it.

Since I have now taken up my PAC code and moved to T-Mobile for their £23 HTC Hero deal , 3 called me up (4 days after getting the PAC code) What they offered was unbelievable.

£20 a month on a 18 month contract. Usually it is for £35 a month on a 24m contract.


I guess I got this offer because I tried a lot to get N97/HTC Hero but they would not budge beyond £28pm.


Sadly, I have already started using my T Mobile and have initiated the PAC transfer during the weekend. So guys, call 3 and tell them either give this (as its their 7 year anniversary) or I am off with the PAC code, chances are they will give you the deal.

Three are cheap, but you have to watch where you can get working signal from reading previous posts, and customer service has been reported to be not off fantastic quality, hopefully they will improve.

Got 7 weeks left. All igot offered was £35 24m deal. S will have to wait even though im sickk of the n96. TBH if i have to wait to the end of my contract i'll just leave

Well i phoned them this afternoon and they wouldn't budge on the Hero £35 24 month job, so i asked for, and received, my PAC. I'm in my last month so unless they come back with an offer too good to refuse they can go and fugg themselves. I'm seriously p*ssed off with them because others have gotten very good deals.

The BIG problem with three is that their retention system is POT LUCK!

I've had quite a few contracts with them and never seem to be able to get a decent deal.

O2 CPW ALWAYS give me a good deal - I've never cancelled and O2 CPW contract because the deals are just so good.

Vodafone is also very good - no cashback, but always get a good deal out of them.

So I'd take (almost) guaranteed good deal every 12/18 months over pot luck any day (and their crappy customer service ofcourse!)

Can I tell three I want to leave at the end of my contract even though it's 7 weeks away. I currently have an N96 and despise it and therefore trying to upgrade to a decent hero offer asap. Would this start the ball rolling or is it even an option. I am kinda doubtful and expect that i have to wait till my last month.

You can, but at 7 weeks away the response would probably "Oh that's a shame"

You're right though, the best time is 4 weeks before the end - or nearer.

Do you think they would match the T-mobile Mega combi deal on the hero this far out? To be honest I may just pay the remainder of my contract off next month.
