I've started using a mix of olive and castor oil (as per the OCM thread on here), and my skin seems to be liking it. I don't get as greasy during the day. I have reasonably good skin to start with, though.

When my current mix has run out, I intend to try almond oil with the castor oil, hoping that it will smell a little nicer (olive doesn't smell bad, just a bit "foodie")

I still have loads of products, but seem to be cutting down on the amount I actually use!

    WHAT?????!
I'll put what I like on my face thanks very much!!
Stop tryin to foist your bl**dy plain water on everyone!
I know my skin, you don't!

Erm Suki isn't trying to "foist" anything on you. You state in previous post that you are trying to avoid as much man made chemicals as possible. As great as aqueous cream is it contains liquid paraffin which is fairly man made ;)

Ugh, that would not work for me, grease and dead skin build up.
You feel as though your skin is greasy because you are used to it feeling 'alcohol' clean and your skin is never getting chance to breath properly because of so many different things begin clogging the pores from the products. The more you apply, the more you need to get them out of the clogged pores.
Warm water with a flannel on your face opens the pores and takes away any dirt. A bit of gentle circular movements with the flannel give your face some stimulation and finishing with a bit cooler water freshens skin and leaves it feeling silky.
You might find that your skin will be a bit greasy for a few days but I promise, if you just used warm water until your skin has 'recovered' then you will never look back.
You will also be quids in the bank.
Did you know that women's skin care is the biggest money making 'con' ever devised!? Closely followed by the diet industry!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Tiptoes in....

I happily use aqueaous cream on my body, but do not like it for my face. I do not particularly like or dislike chemicals, I just don't find it works well on my face at all, neither as a cleaning agent, or for skin health.

I have very recently started with oil cleansing, but castor oil, though excellent, might deter some chemical phobics. Its also, for me, not every day, and finding a balance isn't straiht forward, but it is worth trying to see if it suits you.

If you didn't post contradicting comments (suggesting a use of something with liquid paraffin in and then say you're trying to limit the number of man made chemicals) then people wouldn't point them out to you.

!!!!!! the only nazi on here seems to be you and your OTT attitude. I wasn't rude to you (merely pointed out the facts) but the yawn comment is so childish.

I tell you what - people routinely think I'm 15 years younger than I am so I must be doing something right! ;)
