    Hi,

after reading all of the advice given one thing seems to have been missed.

It seems to me that your system needs BALANCING, this is achived by turning down some of the return valves on each radiator,
For example the rads nearest the boiler need to have there return side of the radiator pipe valve turned completly off them turn the valve about half of one turn, do this to a couple of rads near to the boiler and then gradulary as you come further away from the boiler open the valves more on the return side pipework of the rads, so once you are on the upstairs rads these need to have the valves almost completly open ( full turn)
try and see then let me know

    regards

    Hi Paul
I have tried this and it seems to be warming slighty upstairs now but not as good as it should be. I will try again today and see if there is any improvement. The boiler was still making a screaming noise after 10 minutes then settles down a little. And as previous people have said it may be a new pump required.
