I Need Adobe Writer

All I need is the version where you create a document (Word, Excel for example) and you can print to Adobe pdf files, and save the file from there.

I have this at work (I am not allowed to copy theirs) but I now need it at home.

I have searched for a free download for this, but I can't find one. Can anyone help me on this and point me in a spyware free direction?????:D

(Running Windows XP if that makes a difference)

    Try PDFCreator from

    https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=57796

Works as a printer (so you cant print from anything to create a PDF document). Or works standalone. Very configurable.

Sourceforge is big, legitimate source of opensource software. Always worth a look if you are looking for a program to do a certain job.

There are many that will do what you want... just do a quick search on https://www.downloads.com

The one I have (name escapes me at the moment) is shareware and the unpaid for version simply adds a final page with the companies URL and one line description of the product (which is fine for my needs) or is only a few quid to buy to remove this extra page.

If you install open office it has an option to convert microsoft office files to pdf with a single button click.

I have been using PDF printer pilot for quite a while (came off a magazine cover disk). I like it because it does not have one of those silly 'watermarks' that many of the shareware items have. It installs as a printer which means you can create a PDF from anything that you can print (I have used it for web pages, word documents, excel, powerpoint etc.)
