I ordered a saucepan lid holder from them. Unfortunately my saucepan lids are too big to fit into the rack, so I rang them about returning it. They refunded my money straight away and then asked me rather than return the item to them, instead to take it to a local charity shop of my choice. How nice is that? :T

I'm gobsmacked tbh! How much did it cost, out of curiosity?:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

About £12 so not a huge amount, but I thought it was a really nice gesture.Total debt May 2005 £83,232

I do too, was just very surprised! I suppose by the time they've done paperwork, paid for collection and restocked etc they're not losing much by writing it off. Where I used to work head office would write things off if they were low value rather than collect but we were supposed to destroy them, what a waste.:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls

Lakeland have always had (imo) excellent customer service - right from back when all they sold were plastic bags :T
They care that you get what you want - if you read the reviews on the website anyone leaving a less than perfect review gets a personal response asking if they can change/refund/alter something to help.0 -
Lakeland are my favourite High Street store. They are an example of how a company should be runThe man without a signature.0

I've always found Lakeland's customer service to be excellent, they always resolve any problems to my complete satisfaction. Recently I ordered a doormat from them, I wasn't that impressed with it for the cost so I rang them to arrange to return it for a refund. They asked if I wanted an exchange or refund, I asked for a refund then waited for her to give me details of how to return it, but to my surprise she said if I can make use of it to keep it and I still got an immediate refund. If I'm not careful I'll get reported for leaving spam!0

I agree, Lakeland customer service is marvellous!
I called today to ask to return a couple of items from my recent order of goodies from the sale and to ask if they have any more candle snuffers as ours broke on its second usage, the bell bit fell off.
The lady was so nice and is sending out another snuffer (they don't have any left on their website but must just have one or two kicking about) and told me to give the other bits to charity.
Such a nice company to do business with, big thumbs up!0 -
I had a very similar experience. I bought a pan from them that did not do what it was supposed to. They refunded me my money, told me to keep the pan and wrote down everything I told them to feed back to the supplier.0
