That would guarantee a clean computer:idea:0 -
Thankyou for all the help!!
I've done clean installs before just
backup-->install--->servicepacks---->updates--->install antivirus---->re install needed programs ---> put files back on
right?0 -

Personally I install AV then service packs/updates, you're covered if you have to check anything on the web.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
I'd personally spyware and virus scan all the files you put back on it before you put them back on. And if you have another clean system download the security programs on there, transfer them and install them before connecting to the internet.0

Now back it up, before you get any spyware on it, found some freeware backup programs. this is the 2nd one,
http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/
http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm
then you wont need to do this
backup-->install--->servicepacks---->updates--->install antivirus---->re install needed programs ---> put files back on
it will just be use the backup.
if you have 2 partitions or 2 harddrive you can store the backup image on the 2nd drive/partition.0
