T Mobile - Is it possible to downgrade?

I have had my current contract with T Mobile for 9 months and have another 9 months to go before renewing/cancelling free of charge.

I have seen a PAYG offer (unlimited texts and web if you top up £10 per month) which works out much better than my contract (which is 300mins and 300 texts for £25...rubbish!).

In a nutshell I want my current contract to be as cheap as possible so I can cancel it and then get my free sim. Has anyone managed to downgrade easily? What are the best things to say?

Thanks :D

I 'think' T only allow you to downgrade in the last month of your contract.

If you started/upgraded your contract on this price plan Combi 25 (18mth) then there is a policy in place which is the no downward migration policy meaning you cant reduce your tarriff until in the final month of your contract.

This was put in place to protect the company - a cusotmers were taking out large high price contracts ( £75pm) to get a Top end, high spec phone free then after 1 month migrating down to £15pm meaning companys were loosing ££££££. Sorry
