I apologize for another thread like this as I am sure they have been done to death.

Anyway....its upgrade time!

I am with o2 and have been for several years and this is what my contract consists of:

200 minutes
400 texts with an additional 1000 thrown in.
free web browsing
all for £20 a month. It is a £25 contract but I also get a £5 discount every month.

I actually like the contract but I feel that the phones I am being offered are really poor.

So far I have been offered the Samsung genio Touch and the Nokia 6303.
Having looked at these phones I don't think they are really all that special.

I have called and spoken to retentions about cancelling who tried to offer me other phones but they still were no good.

Now, some may say that the only option is to move but we all know that this is a pain in the backside and to add to it I have an iphone I want to keep. I got the iphone by purchasing it as a pay and go and sticking my sim in there, so I am also pretty limited as to what other operators I can move to. Although I know the iphone can be unlocked.

The reason I want the new phone is that I am probably going to give it to the missus as her phone has just packed in and she really cant afford to get a new one at the moment.

So what can I say or do to try to get a better phone and possibly a better contract for the same money?

Anything else that you guys think I should be asking for?

I really like my Nokia 5800. Its a great all-rounder, and fun to use phone, although the N900 would be my next choice for upgrade (fickle person I am!).
