Hi the knitted shop are saying they will have orders out before xmas for def

    Here

    Nov 23
Just to let all customers know that we’ll soon be dispatching any orders placed last week, apologies for the delay.
Current lead time to knit and send the character is 7 – 14 days but we are working hard to dispatch before then.
All orders before the 15/12/09 are guaranteed in time for Christmas however and you’ll receive an email as soon as he’s dispatched.
Prices are subject to change during the busy period toward Christmas due to increased knitting hours and longer, colder nights!
    With thanks :o)

I ordered 2 at the weekend.

Thanks for all the great ides, think I will get her some slippers and pjs etc and some nice smellies. I always end up bying cheap stuff ffrom asda so I think she'd really like some nice stuff. Her main hobby is swimming so not a great deal of milage there but loving the idea of theatre/activity tickets/vouchers. Think she'd really like that just need to think about what. She likes to listen to talking stories although I tend to borrow them from the library as they are quite expensive but I might get her some of her own. Many thnaks for all the ideas you've all been a great help.

I have one who doesn't ask for anything too - it's a great thing!

She just turned 12 and got a unicycle, some books, a CD and a board game for the family to play together. Seemed very happy with her haul.

A unicycle:T thats brill where did you buy one of those? Its not something you think of buying everyday is it? lol

A new swimming costume or goggles, towel, swim bag? I used to love being in the water too at that age!
  • My 11 year old son is just the same. We just give him cash now and he spends it throughout the first part of the year. His birthday is in June so the same happens then, although last year we bought him sky multiroom and now he does chores to pay for it.

Op, I know you have had a lot of ideas but thought I would put my two pennies worth in

I made up for my friends little girl - a box with pretty ribbons and stuff. Put fancy tissue paper inside and little sparkly bits and pieces (what do you call those little things you put in pressies?)

I wrapped up a load of individual pressies for her and she loved opening them all up and the pretty box .

    Suggestions

    A fairy ornament/trinket box
a nice pretty notebook & pen set
Disney dvd (or one of her favourite films)
    Scarf/glove set
Books - learn to cook?knit? what interests her?
    Sparkly lip gloss if allowed?
Some yummy smelly bits and pieces
A new swimming costume? A "proper" one?
    Disney jigsaw?
Couple of cool tshirts - with sponge bob/muppets/what ever kids re into - New look do them
Cross stitching set? (or something to develop a new hobby?)
Hand make vouchers - for a day out with just you and her. You could write a list of things yous could do and she gets to pick, and it's followed by a nice slap up meal (pub grub) and nice girly time? Im sure you could find some nice templates online to make a professional looking invitation

    Good luck!

Yeah great thought - we just got the Sam Stern cook books for my DD2 who's desperate to learn to cook. Very annoying read for an adult but great for kids - she produced a spag bol that's in danger of competing with mine
