Thanks, that reminded me of a question I had.

I was looking at the cod yesterday. I noticed the cod fillet was around £4.70 per kilo, but they also had cod loin at £15.xx per kilo.

I didn't realise the cod fillet was half price, but even so....what is the difference?

They looked the same to me, except the loin was bigger pieces.

Does cod loin taste twice as good as cod fillet?

The only difference I can see is the fillet is fat and chunky and tappers off and the loin is just the fat chunky bit. I might be wrong but thats what it always looks like to me.

Been wanting a goosefeather quilt for ages, but was too mean to fork out the 45 pounds Tesco wanted. Went in for a wander to Morrisons today and got the kingsize goose feather quilt for 19.99. The single ones were only 9.74!

Also 6 tin pack of dog food for 1.38.

i'm absolutely stoked! Well impressed. :j

They had Batchelor's Condensed Soups on offer when I popped in yesterday - £1 for 3 x 295g cans. I chose Cream of Tomato but they also had Chicken, and possibly others but I was in a hurry and didn't stop long enough to search. I grab them by the dozen when I see them as one can and a french stick is a reasonable lunch for the two of us for under £1.

I also use them in loads of recipes in place of or to supplement a more expensive jar of ready-made sauce, such as pasta bakes, chicken casserole, spaghetti bolognese etc.

Morrisons Ultra household kitchen towel - buy 2 lots and get 60p off taking them to 1.25 for a two pack and it seems quite good stuff (better than the Thirst Pockets last week I think although not as cheap!).

They seem to be doing a bagged salad on offer each week and this week it's the 4 leaf one, 135g for 50p.

Pepsi still on offer for £1

Lake District mature cheddar still on offer for £1.79 - this seems very cheap for 400g (not tried it yet though!).

Salmon (pink) offer BOG2F as already mentioned £2.29 for 3 tins.
