I got one of these last year for my wife the pamper day and photoshoot there is a 0870 number you have to ring to book your place and you have 1 year to do it, they don't contact you.

Totally agree. There is nothing to say they contact you as was suggested in another post. A bit of scaremongering me thinks.
As you say, it says you have a year to use it subject to availability of time slots. The hair one says once a salon is allocated ( i assume that means salon of your choice) you have to use voucher within 3 months. Seems clear enough to me.
As for saying you cant give it as a gift just because you dont buy gift packaging is again scaremongering. It says clearly use yourself or give as a gift, you merely have the option to pay extra for gift packaging if you so wish.

when i put my email address in to activate it comes up with an error message. am i doing something wrong?

I didn't have to enter my email to activate - I just clicked on the link in the email I got from them

i clicked join now (on the right hand side) from link on first page, typed in my info, then it asks you for an email address to activate account. went to my email, clicked on the link and it comes up with the error message!

Not trying to scaremonger and I'm sorry to hear it's been interpreted that way.
It's based on real life experience with the hair group where they allocate you to a salon and not the other way round.
Perhaps they've changed the system, but I'm only going on what it says in their Ts & Cs.

I hope everyone get's great presents and it all works out.

I have to say that I forsee probalmes with massive take up.
Probably get accused of scaremongering, but that's my genuine feeling having seen many of these promotions before.
The take up on MSE and HDUK for something like this is massive and often overwhelming for businesses, but I really hope people get a good deal.

The purpose of this website is to indicate where (geographically) the nearest participating salon is. Due to confidentiality we cannot divulge full details of the top salons we have as members.
As these salons are very busy and we're giving away a stunning offer, all contact must start with the coupon coming to us here in Watford. The way our promotions work is that you send in the coupon and the computer locates your nearest salon.That salon will then get your details and call you to book you in. But please do use this website to check by county as to which areas have a participating salon. When we receive the coupon we'll process it for you. If you want to be allocated to a salon near work - please include the address of your workplace on a separate piece of paper accompanying the coupon.
