Usually you complain to the Financial Ombudsman but you can only do that if you've exhausted Vanquis' own complaint procedures, which means having to do it all by writing and by the book.
Updating the CRA could take a few months. Setting the DD issue aside, try and get them to remove the markers from your file and refund any charges - making sure you've got this in writing. If you get this issue sorted, then you can continue to make payments manually until they resolve the DD issue.
OK i'll await their manager's verdict on listening into my telephone calls, my friend once asked them to listen into the calls to establish the advisor being a !!!!!!, and they said the calls were inaudible, so i expect the same today when they call.

Inaudible sounds like a load of baloney if you ask me. It's their computer systems that will be recording the call, so it would be quite high quality.We’ve had to remove your signature. Was just in Natwest putting a cheque in to my account when the cashier looked at the computer and said "OH have you considered getting a mortgage?". I said yes and would very much like to get one but I'm only a student at the moment. She replied "as soon as you get a decent job, quickly get an application in to us".We’ve had to remove your signature. 9 points in one hit is a bit over the top and the tread levels on the tyres had only just reached the minimum level. I was due to change them at the end of the month anyway. Just had to wait until payday.
Money does not grow on trees.
No not a "Do Gooder" as you put it
You have called the police crooks for doing there job also went on about your licence you need it for your job and money does not grow on trees
If your licence ment that much to you you would not have went on the road with 3 illegal tyres and then moan about the police money ect fact is you took the risk and lost no one to blame but yourselfIf you dont like me remember its mind over matter, I dont mind and you dont matter0 -

I have had my Vanquis card for 7 months now and all is good - I have no adverse credit history on Experian (just 2 defaults on Equifax and Callcredit from 2 and a half years ago - both settled).
I fell off the waggon a bit yesterday and applied for a Virgin card (thinking they only search Experian). Anyway, I didn't get an automatic response - it just said they would be in contact. Has anyone else had a similar experience?Proud to be dealing with my debts :money:0 -

Hello everyone, new to the forum
I have a Vanquis Card; got one last year 03/2009 with a £250 credit limit, after six months my limit was increased to £750 and a few weeks ago it was increased to £1500 (got a gold card)
I have an HSBC credit card (£750 limit from 06//2007), an Outfit store card (£300 limit), an O2 contract and Creditbuilder with Cashplus card.
I checked my credit report recently (on both Experian and Equifax) and on my HSBC Current account (overdraft) I have three 1's (July, September and November 2009) I was having financial difficulties at the time and was overdrawn; Do these count as defaults? How much of an impact does it have on my credit?
I noticed a huge difference between the number of searches on Experian and Equifax (the former having more searches). Does this mean I have a better chance of getting credit with a company that uses Equifax?
I want to apply for a credit limit increase with HSBC; will they carry out a credit search? Is this even advisable given my recent history (overdrawn Current account)?
Thank you.Flybe - £1500 19.9% ||| Silver Mastercard - £2000 18.9%
Vanquis - £1500 34.08%
HSBC Credit Card - £750 22.9%
Outfit - £300 ||| HSBC Overdraft - £100 ||| Halifax Overdraft - £2000
