What about CCJs and bankrupties....these are public data so are they for 3 years also? Or is this covers the credit agreement data held by CRA's?

CCJs will remain until settled in full and once settled you have to apply to the court to remove. bankruptsy i am not sure on. it will either be 3 or 6 years depending wether bankrupts falls into this new legistlation.

Its called The European Credit Directive

Is it better to use my Lloyds account for Matched Betting rather than my HSBC account (as I hold my main account with first direct).

I don't want first direct getting funny with me when I apply for credit. Will they even see the gambling transactions with HSBC?
Use a non-credit scored account. A basic cashcard type thing. Open a new one if you have to. Anything else can hit you. They should only see your gambling transactions (on a non credit scored account) if you appealed and they manually looked (like me and Halifax). They won't be taken into account for automatic scoring because the account is ignored. If you use a credit scoring normal current account then they wouldn't "see", but gambling would hit your internal score so it would be the same effect

Its to allow for banks to operate far more easily in europe and it will also stop people from moving to a diffrent country and having a new credit file in that country. Effectively if i was to move to say SPAIN. My credit file would now move with me under this new legistlation and make credit assesment less risky for foregin lenders.
