BTW who did Barclay's search when you bought your iMac?

Experian only, I think the finance is not too tough to be accepted for.

I think they have offered so many card recently their criteria will be sooo much stricter in 6 months time. This is why I am tempted to apply now

seee now ive been ACTUALLY thinking that to and ill explain my reasoning behind it weve all PRESUMABLY picked up on this new government initiative to reign cc companys inj a bit NEWSPEAK such as responsible lending well more so than in the past so is it possible the companys are briefly lowering there criteria to beat the legislation or further analysis of there systems and procedures which will no doubt be coming as a result?

Im glad Im not the only one thinking this.

I would kick myself knowing that I could have applied and possibly been accepted however I decided to wait and it backfired....

What is your credit file like though?

Not THAT bad..no defaults, no ccj's (my defaults fell off Oct 2009 whoo!!). I had an arrangement to pay that was restored to normal standing last year (march time in think off the top of my head) So i assume the arrangement is why they gave me the thumbs down.

Accounts i hold at the moment are

    J D Williams £1750 limit (£18 owing)
    vanquis limit £2000 (£300 owing)
    Littlewoods £2000 limit (£104 owing)
    Cap 1 progress £500 limit (£98 owing)
    Very £1000 limit (£0 owing)
Aqua - yet to get the card but been accepted £900 limit

The very and aqua are recent apps, my purse felt empty when sygma told me to do one!

I expect i would need to wait 6 months to re-apply? if there is any point in doing so?

To add, I think if I am going to apply again in 6 months even if I do get declined now I will still apply again in 6 months lol

i think it could be best to wait till at least ure new sygma file is showing on ure report and presumably there sygma system would pick up on already a customer etc rather than potentially has applied but possible been rejected its just a thought and one based purely on what they find INSTANTLY on ure file etc........
