i think someone less clued people could easily argue brand new without tags, as technically without is one word, although that acronym clearly should be BNWOTIt's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
If you're not sure then the potential buyers won't be either. Use the acronym to save space in the title but expand to show the full wording in the description.
I'm thinking of joining SPAA (Society for the Prevention of Acronym Abuse)Can I help?0 -
I have always understood it to be Brand New With Tags! Wouldnt have thought that it can really be understood as anything different?!Weight Loss - 102lb0

I asked because I know what it means.
I too do use it in the my titles and expand in the text.
So I bought 2 items with this in the title and guess what.

I would email the seller and send the link from the ebay glossary page, is it possible to raise a claim with Paypal?
As an aside - I HATE to see emails written like that - in 'text' language!"Stay Wonky":D

I would want a refund I think - or depends whether they look as if they have been worn or washed etc.
Tell them that it is item not as described and you could do an item not as described dispute. If you do send the items back make sure you send them by a trackable wayWeight Loss - 102lb0 -

Send them a link to the Ebay acronym page and educate them. :cool:0 -
I'm guessing it's a newbie seller? Advise the seller of what BNWT actually means according to eBay. If the items are not in very good condition I would ask the seller for a full refund. If you are happy with the condition of the items perhaps as a gesture of goodwill the seller may offer some kind of compensation for misrepresenting his/her items.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

If someone sent me an email spelled like that, I'd first point them to a local college to study both english spelling and punctuation!!My broad mind and narrow waist are slowly swapping places!!0

I bought a load of clothes for my daughter that were BNWT , but didn't have swing tags - when I tackled the seller she said that it meant the glossy label in the back!
She was a power seller with a couple of thousand positive feedback.0
