Yup - My daughter applied to a bank (abbey) - furnished tenant. Declined. Went next door to barclays and got instant accept when she said unfurnished. Similarly, a few months after this she applied to Abbey again as unfurnished who this time accepted her instantly....

Thats a factual example but yea, its quite official (remember I SAR'd - and have been fighting legislation etc - with all the CRA's, FPA's etc and learned a lot from their so called 'internal' screens ;))

A good SAR to do is Halifax, they kinda give away a lot of trade secrets :p

I don't think you read my post. I asked if you had an official source for it, not what happened to your daughter on 2 occasions and some alleged insider hearsay . Clearly you don't have an official source and your words are based on nothing more than pure coincidence.

Did you miss the most basic of fact? Credit Scores and their techniques are trade secrets - you will never get told factually the answer you require and therefore the only source going is personal experience and if you don't like that, instead of being arsey just don't respond. :D

The alleged insider hearsay (a screen print of a scoring model) isn't really what i'd call insider nor hearsay, but fair enough ;);)

My words are factual, take that how you want but the only way you'll find out is by applying isn't it? But bear in mind, it may not even be relevant cos it could be a host of other things that down-score you.

Anyway, what do I know - just coincidence right? :rotfl:
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o
