I haven't been able to find anything about a random feature. Have a look at these Google translated German user reviews.0

that I posted yesterday

Sorry Culpepper - This player requires SD or MMC cards and your post refers to Smartmedia cards.
I've heard quite good reports of the Fuji xD-MP3 player which has a random play option. Main draw backs are that XD cards are still expensive and it doesn't include a Tag display.
Available from the 7dayshop for £17.99 + £3.99 p&p0 -
That posting was made by me.Why would I be related to the site?
This was mentioned earlier by someone who appears to be related to the site

Is this that wonderful? I just bought a 1GB memory pen MP3/WMA player from a UK supplier on eBay for £58 inclusive (auction - so your price may vary). It includes a stereo FM radio and a microphone, and will record off both (although don't expect great quality for that!). It has random play, folder support, displays lyrics and phone numbers, and even plays back MP3 files at variable speed. Astonishing little device, smaller than the one on this thread.
You can't get a 1G flash memory device on its own for much less, can you?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
I can see why somebody reading that other post could (mistakenly) assume that you were connected to the site
You didn't put quotation marks, or explain that it was text from an email you received...
Thanks to all who post constructively.
Have an A1 day!0 -

My daughter has one very similar, great player but terrible battery life, no-where near 5-7 hours with a duracell.0

The Hama player that calibrax spotted at blankdiscshop seems to cost £25.27 when you include delivery to a UK mainland address. https://www.mymemory.co.uk do their own brand (which fwiw has a part aluminium case - the Hama is all plastic) for £17.99 + £2.95 delivery = £20.94.0

How about this?
