WSL: MP3 player with SD/MMC slot £19.99!!

I got an email about this £19.99 MP3 player with a SD/MMC card memory slot.

It means, if you buy the max size memory card, it can hold up to 1GB of music. And of course, you can have more than one memory card should 1GB not be enough for you!

(The player itself has no memory of it's own, so you will need a card to use it. )

http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/Hardware_Section__.html

The player is about 12th from the bottom of the page (it's blue)

The also sell memory cards as follows (although you may find cheaper if you shop around) :

SD Cards
1GB - £54.95
512MB - £28.51
256MB - £14.98

MMC Cards
1GB - £51.99
256MB - £17.05
128MB - £11.75

I use this site a lot to order blank DVDs etc, and they've always been fast & efficient. This deal looks like amazing value to me. Enjoy!

    Some more info :
    {HA 4132} MP3 Player with SD/MMC Card Slot

This MP3 player is unusual in that it has no memory of its own. Select a memory card from our range or re-use the one that you already have in your camera, phone or PDA!

You can load MP3s into the card whilst the device is connected to your computer (USB lead included) or pre-load the MP3s onto the memory card before insertion.

The device will fit on the palm of your hand or your shirt top pocket and has a pleasant textured finish. It has an LCD information display and controls for track skip, repeat, EQ setting and volume. A hold switch prevents accidental activation.

    Presentation box contents:

    Player

    Headphones

AAA Battery (typical life 5-7 hours)

    USB Cable

Driver CD (only required for Windows 98/ME. No driver required for Windows 2000, XP etc.)

    User manual.

    Specifications:

Memory type: SD/MMC Card. We have tested up to 1GB.

    Music format: MP3, 32-256kbps

    Output power: 5mW x2

    SNR: >95dB

    Power: 1x AAA cell

    Size: 61x61x12mm

Shipping cost will be calculated and displayed by the website before you finalise your order.

I've been looking for an MP3 with external memory, amazing that hardly any of them have this. Ordered one of these with a 128, just hope it is decent actual player.

This was mentioned earlier by someone who appears to be related to the site

  • Does it have a random/shuffle play option?
It seems to be a rare option on flash memory based mp3 players and i cannot understand why :(

This appears to be the HAMA DMP-100 which is available from a number of sites for about the same price or bundled with a media card for a higher price.

eg Pixmania do it for £18 + £9 delivery or for £35 + delivery with an (overpriced) SD card.
