I have a Sharp Aquos TV (model LC20E1E) wall mounted and have spent the day installing a very neat (expensive) Metronic digibox but the results are not what I was expecting.
Can you help?
The picture has turned into a 'widescreen' type format with black bands top & bottom so picture is too small to see properly:eek:. This is on all channels.
There are no instructions in the TV or the Metronic manuals to alter the picture which was full screen before I started.
Is this a 'feature' of the Metronic digiboxes?
OR
Is there some way I can return the picture to Full screen?
(I selected 4:3 picture setting) if this helps.
Thank you for any advice you can offer

You alter the TV aspect ratio through the TV remote control settings. Try Auto or 16:9.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you but the digibox instructions specifically warn against doing that.
Any idea why that might be?
Could it break something if I tried it?0 -
I agree with macman, I have never come across a receiver that advises against doing that, very strange receiver you have there.0
