I too had an awful time with Dell. I will NEVER consider even looking at any of their products ever again!

I bought a laptop for my son in Feb this year and had no problems with their service. On the day of delivery we discovered a problem with the dvd drive - the door wouldn't open. I gave dell a call and an engineer was out the next day. He advised that the kind of laptop we had would not appreciate him opening it up (he likened it to open heart surgery) especially as it was brand new, and so he contacted Dell, I rejected the laptop and another was ordered. Because it had a personalised spec we had to wait 10-14 days for delivery but were told he could use the laptop in the meantime. It only took 9 or 10 days to arrive and the other was taken away at the same time.
While the faulty laptop is a negative, the way they reacted to the problem was positive. I'd order from them again.
