Transferring my mobile number between O2 Providers - Carphone Warehouse O2
Hi all,
Trying to get a deal on an upgrade and change of tariff on O2. Unfortuanately, it is through Carphone Warehouse, and the offers are very poor. There are some excellent deals on the normal O2 site.
Found an article on the O2 website that says "If you are an existing O2 customer, wishing to move to a different Service Provider within O2, then contact your customer service team to request a Port Authorisation Code (PAC).'
Does anyone know if this just means you can get a PAC number from O2 to move to CPW, or will it work in the other direction - can I get my PAC from CPW O2 and move to the standard online O2?
Grateful for anyones experiences doing this. Intend calling back later and it would be useful to have some ammunition.
Thanks in advance
Paul

You can also migrate from O2 Online to O2 Offline as these are separate service providers.
The only time you may not be able to do this is when purchasing a contract through a third party dealer. Dealers only get their full commission from the network when connecting a new customer and so they usually avoid migrations.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Mark - I think I will transfer across to the O2 online tariff - really annoyed seeing the great deals others are getting when I get a really poor upgrade offer from CPW. Looks like I'm off, then!0
