Hi all
Thought I'd better start myself a new diary as I've not been around for ages - I'm going to get my figures and that together later - but have to go to the cinema with my kids now
A real treat!!! Off to see Up in 3D.
Also will fill in on my current situations etc - things a lot more settled that 6 months ago thank goodness!! More than helped by not drinking for 5 1/2 months now lol.
Much love to you all - even if no one reads this - it'll certainly help me sort out my finances and thoughts!

Big congrats on the not drinking - that is a real achievement, we worried about you at times......although I will admit to finding some of your drunken posts a little amusing on occasion......
Good to see you back though and ready to do business. We will whip that remaining debt into shape!

Wow!
Thank you so much for all the messages! Been out today getting exciting things like cat litter from the cheapie shops!
Ah the glamour!!
Well, I've met a lovely man, who is just wonderful, has his own issues but then who doesn't?!?! He's clever and funny and adores the kids! Been seeing him since end of Juneish. He's being very positive about the tumour - it's about 1.7cm and about 4cm further into his ear. Not too much pain and fingers crossed all will be well. It'll be better for him once he gets the referral from Manchester I think as then things are happening.
The kids are fab - although Sophia is a handful and a half right now - they are both much more settled about me and their dad splitting up (he's been gone for nearly a year now) and I think she's just learning about boundries and that. I hope!! Not even thinking about the teenage years - my goodness, if it carries on that'll be tricky!!!
The not drinking has been easier as time goes on. I'm an active member in AA now and that has helped so much - couldn't have done it without it!! Work has improved 10 fold, directly due, I believe, to me not drinking. The house is still a challenge, but hey, aren't all domestic chores?!? It's much better than it was! My mum has been coming over as much as she can and she's helped loads with the house too
Not sure if any of you saw a programme called wild things on channel 4 in July? I was in it!!! All about my childhood and thatThing was I couldn't actually remember what I'd said in the programme til it was aired. I wasn't drunk when filming was done, but the general drinking situation and my mental state combined to mean I didn't remember much at all. Worked out ok though!
Up was good - the kids enjoyed it, although it seemed a little more aimed at adults with the story and the morality! Was fabby seeing a 3 D film, but omg!!! The cost!! £28 for a fam ticket - 2 adults and 2 kids. Phew! Definitely a once every few months treat.
I'll dig out all my figures in a while to update things - finances have def taken a slide.
Katy - lol!! Not sure what you've heard!! All good I hope
Love to you all

Ah the stories we have told:rotfl:
I am glad that life is settling down for you now and that things are improving (bf tumour aside) all round, think positively about the tumour and be sure that things will continue to improve.
As for "pushing the boundaries".....mine are now 14 and 15......and they are mature young adults.........yeah right :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well done on the not drinking Sea. A very positive step. Congrats on bf and i hope he has positive results from his treatment, they can do wonderful things at the Manchester hospitals, my daughter has been with them from birth and i cannot praise the staff highly enough- he will be in safe hands.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
