I'll get me coat :rotfl:
Bitzy...you can try using a pair of tights as a jelly bag...I put on 'leg' inside the other, to make a double layer of fabric. Seems to work ok!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the blackberrys are very early this year!! thought I was going mad!0

Having read this thread I have now revised my plans for the weekend and am going blackberrying. :j
There's a huge patch on the common a couple of miles from where I live but, unfortunately, everyone in Portsmouth knows about them so it's usually a race to see who gets there first: hopefully some people will be caught out by how early the berries are this year so I might get a decent quantity for once!
Back after a very long break!0 -
oooh time to read milly molly mandy goes blackberrying to my children & arm them with punnets that i've saved through the year

They're just about ready now at the park around the corner, and after years of collecting I know where exactly to go for the ripest berries in any week... around the lake now, later in the wooded areas. Plus I encouraged some brambles into the hedge when the property next door was unoccupied for about a year, makes a burglar-proof fence that you can harvest!0
