I have a confession to make. I like the idea of blackberry picking/foraging for free food BUT I just can't stand the pips
The ones I picked last Autumn are STILL in the freezer

I am very popular at the local country park as my walking stick is very handy for getting the real high ones.I have to be careful that I don't get scratched on my lyphodma arm in case it becomes infected so I have to wear rubber gloves otr gardening gloves when I'm picking them but I too get addicted to foraging for berries at this time of the year0

Thanks but being a lazy so and so I don't have a jelly bag to drain the stuff from (nor even a contraption strong enough to hold something to strain the "bits") so I've never pursued it
I'll get me coat :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I have blackberries in the waste ground next to our bungalow and am resisting the urge to stick my hands through the fence as it's my son's wedding on Saturday and I don't want scratches from the fence all up my arms. It's killing me though, all those blackberries sitting there calling me (am sure they are a bit early?) once we come back I will be sticking my arm through along with a walking stick to pull some through to my side of the fence.
OH moans at me, he says its cos I pull them through that the brambles grow through fence and he has to cut them down.....he doesn't moan at the apple and blackberry crumbles thoughwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
