SonyErrikson K770i went for a wash and dry

I've lived off sub £30 phones ever since they were that price. They lasted years but at the beginning of this year i decided to splash out and get a K770i for £90, i know big spender. Anyway, i left it in the zip pocket of my sweater and the misses kindly washed it for me. Thankfully she gave it 60 mins in the tumble dryer aswell so it was bone dry by the time i had realised what had happened.

It obviously doesn't turn on now although there was literally no water residue to be found but the lovely clean smell gave it away, but when i plug my charger in the low battery light that usually flashes when low, glows a constant red so surely that means its taking power?

So is it possible the battery is the only piece that suffered? Or is the phone truly dead?

Comments

  • It may depend on
    if
it was switched on when it went in the wash.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
  • I think you've just killed it by plugging the power cable into it.

BEST things is to REMOVE The battery - open the phone up and completely dry it!

You can easily buy one for around £40-£50 of ebay now though.
