I guess the title says it all!
Seat Ibiza, 1.4 S/Cool 5 door, X reg. Selling for £2350. Any experiences of selling on ebay versus autotrader would be gratefully received!
It seems Autotrader is the more expensive option but if it works...
Thanks!

I have always found Autotrader to be better, at least you know exactly how much it is going to cost you unlike with Ebay where you have to pay a percentage of the final sale price I think. Plus you can keep it on autotrader for about 6 weeks which, lets be honest, might be as long as it takes to sell it at the moment.0

Throw a ad on gumtree, its freeANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

I'd say autotrader is the easiest and probably best. It always seems to take ages to put a car on ebay. Autotrader isn't really that expensive, think it cost £10 for 3 weeks online and 2 in the magazine or something when I last did it.0

eBay do " Classified Adverts " which are fixed price sales at reasonable rates.0

Ebay classifieds lets you list your car at a fixed price for just a few pounds for a month.
Also pistonheads.com and gumtree are free and attract a lot of people0 -
pgilc beat me to it....I was going to suggest pistonheads too.
I'm selling my car and had a few enquiries through pistonheads.
As one of the guys in my office suggested, autotrader is so big that your car could become lost in it. I suppose there's a certain amount of truth in that but it is the place that people check if they're looking to buy.
So unless anyone here wants to buy mine I'll be using autotrader this weekend!!
Keen photographer with sales in the UK and abroad.

It cost me £40 to put an ad with a picture in Autotrader mag & on line. It sold within a couple of weeks for nearly the asking price. E-bay would have cost more, with all the hassle of time wasters and tyre kickers and people bidding and then pulling out and Romanians offering a cash-back deal because they desperately need a right hand drive vehicle.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Not true, eBay do Classified Adverts that are similar to AutoTrader ad's, I am fairly certain that they are at a fixed price of £12.
Obviously no magazine.
Many dealers use eBay Classified Adverts.0 -

I had my car on five different sources of which 2 were free, one was ebay online at £12 for a month and one was A/T online & the mag for £40 something. Autotrader seriously dicked me about with the advert - i had to phone them three times over a period of 4 days before they got it right and due to their failings it ended up in the magazine the week after i wanted it to (and had had it scheduled for).
I would always have been a massive advocate of autotrader, but the game seems to have moved on and autotrader is by far the most expensive and offer the least service.0 -
Well, I was very happy with Autotrader. I hate ebay with a vengeance because my daughter lost over £300 (that she couldn't afford to lose) through a scam on ebay, and they didn't give a toss.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
