Help!! Kids ruining our fence!!!

  Hi all and wondering if you could give me some advice.
We are having trouble with the kids next door, who constantly climb on the fence panels we put in two years ago.
We had a word with their mother who really doesnt seem all that bothered, which doesnt surprise us.
The hubby got to the barbed wire and carpet grippers stage, which of course is a no no.
Any ideas on what we could smear the tops of the panels with to stop them climbing on them???

If she rents her house complain, or maybe a call to the police, highlighting the fact you've tried to be nice about it and she has done nothing. Ask them if they have time to call, might scare them a bit.
I have a dog can post some if required as he does 3 a day lol
Hose pipe in garden I've found works well, oh sorry was coming out to water my garden, didn't think someone would be climbing on my fenceOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
MoneySaving advice....
Mix some gloss paint with some axle grease/petroleum jelly and smear it on the top of the fence. It'll make your fence look a bit messy but it'll make next door's kids look even messierJust run, run and keep on running!0 -
Teh anti-vandal paint works. I've got it in my bottom fence to stop children playing in the field climbing over to retrieve balls.
I've got no problem with them knocking on the door and asking for the ball back, but was fed up with the damage they cause by climbing over. Here I go again on my own....0 -

She is a council tenant, so it may be worth reporting her if she doesnt stop and sort out the little bleeders. The hubby has a camera, so it may be worth putting that up, especially as the summer hols will soon be here, which means more hassle.
Wish i did have a bloody dog other than two cats!!!!
My dad lives next door but one on the opposite side of them, and he has the same problem too with them, as well as jumping on the front hedges!!!
God i never did anything like that to other peoples property when i was a kid, and as the hubby says the worse thing any adult couldve said to you back then was " wait till i tell your father"!!!
Thanks for all your tips, and this weekend im off to buy some paint and spikes!!!!

How old are the kids? If I caught anyone doing that to my fence, I'd give them a stern and loud telling-off.The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

weenie dont forget you can only put camera facing your garden not theres as my friend has same problem with next doors son who gets in garden when she is out she has a dog but dog is indoors when she she is out my freind has spoke with the boys mother and she says you are mad.friend has gone to local council who are trying to help her out but it means each time he does it she has to log it with the police .i think this is society today with certain types not respecting others and thats when it gets out of controlBefore you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0
