Orange itemized billing help please.
A very random question but I have just been going through my itemized bill and I have numbers that I have text that have come up like this..........
18/11/09 17:38 Text 447792159*** - 0.000
18/11/09 17:38 Text 447792159*** - 0.000
18/11/09 17:38 Text 447792159*** - 0.000
Now does this mean I have just text this person a 3 page text as it's three text's at exactly the same time??? just a little confused, it doesn't take much??
Any help would be great.

Could be a text over 128 letters, anything over 128 gets sent as 2 or more (depending on how big it it).
So this could one over 256. Can you check in your sent messages (if you keep them)..0 -
I never keep them to be honest but it would explain the above as to why 3 message would be sent at the exact time lol0

It'll be a concatenated (multiple) SMS, each SMS is limited to 159 characters, they'll appear like that on your bill0

Ella, as above this is just where you've gone over the normal limited for "1" text message, most new phones now will let you write upto eight messages worth of text in one message, and some even upto twelve! Normally it will tell you either as your typing or sometimes as a little icon in the corner of your screen when you've hit 2,3,4 messages etc.
On another note, did you know that you get charged for Orange's itemised billing? I think it's about £1.50 or something, but if you choose "non-itemised billing" although you only receive the front page in the post, you can still download the full itemised document as a pdf. online. and you cna even set it up so that they send you a free text message when your full bill is ready to view online - that's what I do, and then either save the bill to a folder on your desktop or just print the full bill if you need it!0 -
Thank you Miss_eskimo, I downloaded and printed it out from pdf ;-)
My bill has been sky high recently and me being me needed to see what on earth doing wrong, maybe I should make my messages a bit more shorter in future!0 -
No problem!
The other thing to do is to speak to Orange, they have a system called "Best Plan" set in place which automatically checks your bill every 6 months to make sure your on the right plan to suit you. But you can still contact them in between and check it too... As long as your on one of the standard animal plans they shuold be able to swap you over to a more suitable one even if your still within your contract (it wont affect your contract either), though bare in mind that they won't be able to do much if your already on a reduced/retentions plan. Might be worth upping your plan by one tariff or adding an additional text bundle to save some money in the long run?0
