Can i use my debit card the day before pay day?

the way it works in first direct -
card may be declined due to insufficient funds, but generally depending on how much the transaction would put your account over by the payment is usually authorised
if you made transaction at say 9am on a monday, there is a chance the payment may debit your account at close of business on monday around 6pm, but majority of the time it would debit the next day or a few days in future
personally its not worth the risk but maestro, credit card and visa debit card payments can debit your account any time in the future, there is no time limit, some transactions can be proccessed months in the future, this is quite rare but it can happen0 -
forgot to say, if you made a debit card trans at say 8pm on a friday the earliest that transaction can debit is the monday0
