New broadband connection

I've just had a new BT phone line installed and straight away tried to apply for O2 broadband. I want to get the Premium package if my line will support the faster speeds. After I entered my new phone number on the O2 site it told me all 3 packages were available to me but I also had the message: "At present BT is unable to tell us how far you live from your exchange and so we can't give you an accurate speed estimate".

Does anyone know how long I will need to wait for this information to be available so I can make the best choice of package?

You ned to give it at least 24 hours to update.
If not, samknows.com, then exchange mapping, should give you an idea.
If you apply for the Standard package, then if your line can support more than 8Mps you can upgrade at any time. Don't forget to sign up via Quidco for £50 cashback.
NB: do not sign up for the O2 Access package, only for one of the LLU services.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanks, I will try tomorrow. Actually Quidco cashback is now £75 - £125 depending on package.

I've just gone ahead and ordered the Premium anyway because it works out cheaper than Standard. After Quidco it's £10 profit on Premium and only £7.50 profit on Standard. I have an O2 mobile.
