I have to disagree with you all on the MEN arena.
I have been to loads of gigs, and I have to say the MEN is my fav venue!
    Maybe I'm a bit strange!
The o2 was too big, as is wembley (old & new!). I was on the top tier at o2 and was petrified I would fall!
Old Trafford Cricket ground is carp...couldnt see a thing when I 'saw' take that there, well should I say listened to them!
Football stadiums are ok, but you get soaked if it rains & they are freeeeeezing!
The MEN is in town, excellent transport links, plenty of staff on serving drinks etc.
And yes I have sat in upper tier, block 215, still enjoyed Coldplay!

So for those worrying about the venue, don't!
OH wow that means I am a bit strange after all then, cos I agree with you!! :T:T

I live very darn sarf and have come up to the MEN on many occasions for some great events, and worked there for 3 weeks for the Commonwealth Games, and after going to many other venues I have to say for a city centre venue and being an outer of towner, it is very good in all aspects.

And yes Old Trafford Cricket ground was a nightmare to get in, see anything, and then get out again afterwards, when we saw the great Ricahrd Ashcroft there.

I will make allowances for the fact that you are a Liverpool fan..but do you really think they will sell tickets for seats behind the stage?

I too saw Coldplay at MEN and I was on the lower tier but at the rear. Too be honest I thought it was too far away, it is acceptable for a band but not so sure for a comedian. Those who have experienced a comedian could comment.

However, let me tell you a little story, I was very lucky as I was at the end of the row and I was at the time comtemplating how to stand up to enjoy the gig but not get in the way of the people behind me who wanted to stay seated, so I moved slightly into the aisle. When I looked up there was a commotion and Chris Martin was running up the stairs in my direction. I got a hug from Chris Martin!! - he then continued to the upper tier and sang from there!!!

Whilst people from Liverpool are renowned for there sense of humour
I think most would agree stale out of date & past there sell by date jokes/phrases, especially ones that are at least 10+ years old are not so funny now, especially as one can’t even spell them correctly, unless that is your childish side as well
I think you’ll find Harry Enfield is not even on UK gold anymore that’s how old this is
Can we please keep this thread to what it is supposed to be about “Peter Kay Tickets”
    And refrain from childish remarks,
any further childish, out of date remarks, well I shall certainly not respond to any more

    Well said!!
I find the jokes like that so old and very very un-funny.
TBH i think the people who make said jokes are making idiots of themselves because it just isn't funny anymore.

Hmm.... says the person who goes off on one about another poster making a simple quip, and then goes on to lecture the rest of the world about what is considered funny, and what isn't considered funny?

If YOU are so precious about keeping a thread focussed, then why aren't YOU simply posting about Peter Kay Tickets?
