There has been a lot of talk on the forum re; https://www.themobileoutlet.co.uk , i ordered a phone on the weekend and it arrived today http://www.themobileoutlet.co.uk/handset.asp?txtMode=3&txtHandset=322&txtNetwork=2&txtTariff=122.
The phone is in a box printed "exclusive to carphone warehouse" and the paperwork is identical to the group as well.
Senders address is Wednesbury same as E2 Save
So i'm not going to worry about cashback problems as they seem to under the CPW umbrella
Hope this helps MSEr's who were a bit dubious about the company

I have had to deal with three (3) separate cashback problems [mine, a friend, and my other half] with The Mobile Outlet in the last fortnight Ms-Money-Penny. Each has needed small claims court action, which is an inconvenience for me, and an additional cost for them!
See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=257153&highlight=The+Mobile+Outlet for the detail.
Their delaying & spoiling tactics re. cashback payments is sinister, and I wouldn't buy from them again.0 -

Hi Ms-Money-Penny,
As many people on this forum will know, I run a contract mobile phone price comparison site. While it is in my financial interest to let people believe that all the retailers listed on my website are 100% trustworthy, that's not how I like to operate as I believe that the consumer deserves to enter any cashback arrangement with their eyes wide open.
It is for this reason that you should believe me when I say that The Mobile Outlet are most definitely NOT part of the Carphone Warehouse group.
From what you have said I would be willing to wager that you purchased a contract on the Orange network. I can say this with certainty because I know that The Mobile Outlet use Vanilla mobile to fulfill all of their Orange orders. Vanilla are owned by E2Save which, in turn, is part of the Carphone Warehouse group.
Basically, a retailer either sources its product direct from the network or via a distributor. In this instance, The Mobile Outlet uses the latter route, with Vanilla acting as the distributor. The cashback arrangement remains between yourself and The Mobile Outlet - Carphone Warehouse has no part to play in this except through payment of a commission to The Mobile Outlet for the sale of teh contract - a payment which TMO uses to fund their cashback promise to you.
I hope this clarifies things for you as this is an issue that has caused a lot of confusion in the past.
