i'd buy from CEX. you can see the phone you buy if you go physcially into a store, and you could exchange your magic..

£160 for your magic, then just get an 8gb iphone for 382.00, meaning you'll only pay £222 for a new handset..

CEX do checks on the handsets before they are bought, and take your name address id etc etc, so you can't block it afterwards... it probably is the safest way..

  • Cex is ridiculously expensive, about £100 more than you'd pay on Avforums for a 16GB 3G.

Vodafone are due to launch the iPhone in the next month or so. As you are already on Vodafone, that might be a good option for you.

It wasn't my intent to worry you overly, just to alert you that it's something that happens.

If you use Ebay and only buy from sellers with a good feed back (and quite a few of them) you should be safe enough. Just check that the feed back comments aren't all the same and placed over a very short time.

I am very glad you brought it to my attention Jon

    Thanks
