  • I buy one every couple of years. Don't really see the need to get one every year and the kids arent bothered!! Lol
  • DD1's was £9.50 for a medium print

I took DD2 in and they had one done together, but that one was awful DD1 was not happy and didnt want it done, the photographer tried his best to get her to smile but she wasnt having any of it and she looked like she had the right ump in it :rotfl:

Luckily for the one on her own later in the day she started playing ball and it really was a lovely one so have brought that one :)

just stand your child in front of a plain wall and do it yourself. these photographers take all of 30 seconds to take these photos and they are not worth any sort of money let alone £20 as ours are costing.

Or ask friends. I am just learning photography & have a basic beginner's SLR camera. I haven't learnt all the functions yet, but it has an automatic setting. I have taken pictures of my aunt's wedding and they turned out better than the professional photographer's! I am sure many people will have a keen amateur photographer in their social circle who has a camera that is a bit more than a point and shoot.

we spent £25 on a disc of 5 photos and then we got to make unlimited prints for family which worked out perfectly for us because then everyone could get the photo of their choice in a size and finish that suited them.

Whenever my two have had photos done in nursery/school they've always been nice and have always been alot cheaper than they would have been if they were done in a "proper" photographer's studio. This year would be the first year DS and DD would be in their school pic together, but they haven't done them yet, I'm really miffed!

I don't know why people always love to moan about them though - if you don't like them or find them too pricey, then....................... don't buy them .

    Jxx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
