mould on walls and celing in bedroom

we moved into a new build 5 yrs ago and every winter since we end up having small spots of mould in the corners of the bedroom. it starts about midway up the wall and continues a little way onto the ceiling. i guess the corners dont get a free flow of air but we have the trickle vents open all the time. i can get rid of the mould by wiping with mould remover but eventually it does come back again until the summer when the air is drier. does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this?
thanks

Condensation, I'm afraidThis is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

As already stated .Condensation. Check here.
http://www.harfordsonline.com/downloads/condensation%20info.pdfI used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
I have a similar problem but am wondering what is the best thing to remove it from walls? Is there a product that can deal with the removal of it?0

I would like to know about any products to remove this too... we have this problem around a couple of windows, and it gets worse when the central heating goes on...0

I have a small problem on the window. A bit mould forming on the uPVC white plastic. Can white vinegar be used on this with out causing damage. Some sites suggest I can do this, but anyone with any experience? Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

Dettol mould & mildew remover spray.
that is what i am currently using as well. seems to work although i havent used anything else to see if it any worse/better than other products.
i am considering repainting with bathroom paint in the bedroom as it is supposed to have a mould repellent. dont know if it will work though.
just read the link, bit worrying that the floors and carpets are next0 -
google: "hg mould spray" excellent resultsANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

hg mould spray is overpriced bleach - check out the irritant classification on the label.
1st thing to consider is what's causing the mould? excess humidity in your room or living space.
control that and you control the mould problems.
Granted that's easy for me to say, but at this time of year i spend most of my time sorting peoples condensation problems out from a newly built shoebox house to a grade 2 listed building.
check out this link on the different active ingredients used in all these 'wonder cures' I've aptly named condensation (condensation products site):D
This site is obviously a bit byast because they want to sell their product, but is factually correct and I have used their mould kits dozens of times and had excellent results every time.
I've also used the wykamol mould kits which are also good
Try www.twistfix.co.uk
www.dampshop.com
www.dampness-info.co.uk
Hope this helps

Edit: matty - bathroom paint in a bedroom! don't do it mate, buy some anti mould paint additive, stick it in normal contract emulsion, it's just as good and will save you a fortuneThe advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D
Don't like what I have to say? Call me on 0800 KMA;)0 -
Yes condensation. When having a bath/shower open windows slightly and leave open for 30 minutes after just to let steam out. It might still come though
You can get anti-condensation paint it does work for mild condensation or get a de-humidify0
