Virgin Media problems

Due to my Landlord selling the house I rent (despite having a contract), I have had to look for a new property in the past 3 weeks and sort all the annoying bits that go with moving. Rang Virgin Media to inform them that I would be moving into the new house on 14th November. They told me that they couldn't provide full service I pay for so I have no TV package with them, just Internet and Phoneline because the house is in a new development and all the lines are BT. They said my bill would be reduced but if I was to cancel the contract it would cost £180 so I am stuck with them and have had to go with Sky for TV. Luckily I have a friend at Sky so I got a deal where I get Sky+HD and free install for a year, free HD package for a year and half price Entertainment package for a year.
Virgin said that they have to install Phone/Broadband via BT and that the date for install was 23rd November. Found out today by RINGING THEM that the date was moved to 2nd December!!! I can't have Sky installed til they have sorted the phoneline so I am without any services until then. Virgin have said there is nothing they can do, I have had to reschedule to the Sky installation. I complained on the phone that I need to access my home email for e-bills etc as I can't access hotmail at work. I can't even pick up any free wifi on my macbook to cover me until then. I told them it was ridiculous how long I am having to wait and the fact that no one told me about the changes but it all seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Is there anyway I can get my voice heard by anyone there? I also am going to check that they don't charge me for the time I have no services because I don't see why I should pay. They have been a complete joke. I have never really made a complaint to anyone but for the money I am paying, no one is taking responsibility, I am just being passed around people
