Check the threads re Nigeria scams. Go into your own paypal account to see if the money is there. You are right to feel this isn't right. Someone who knows more than I will be along soon to give detailed advice but for now do not send anything. Sounds like the Nigeria scam to me.

The email will be a fake - you'll probably get another one telling you to enter a tracking no to release the money into Paypal! Do not send your item.

The Paypal email is a fake, double check it by going directly to your account.

It's a scam! Just email ebay and let them know, and you'll be able to re-list it.

If the item is a phone, change your settings to UK only.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Change your seller preferences to exclude those without a credit card on file that will stop most of them also set them so that countries that you don't ship to can't bid. Set it for UK only

forward the paypal email to ebay and they will let u know if its a scammer they tried it on with me a few years back said they had sent payment checked paypal and no address they got a bit nippy and kept sending me emails wanting the tracking no. or they were goin to report me to ebay just make sure u check all the routes first if its nigeria then its more than likely a scam next time u sell on ebay make sure u say in listing that they should not bid if they have no feedback and to get in touch first if they are genuine ebayers

There is no need to send this to paypal, of course it is a scam.
