Can TV cards be retuned?

we have a TV card for our computer, since the 30th Sep, we have lost channel 5 and ITV3 and some other digital channels. How do we retune the card, or cant we?? we only got it recently

the computer is an apple mac, dont know about the tv card as OH bought it and I dont really get involved in techy things, but he reckons it cant be retuned, and i cant believe this??0
