Hi,
Just got my bill from EON, which is correct as I have checked. Seems to be a bill over 93 days.
I need to know if the following is acceptable usage;-

Have you run a search on the board on average usage, as the same question comes up time and time again? How large is your house, how well insulated, how many occupants?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

The readings are actuals obtained by a meter I would check these to make sure they are accurate but aside from the it's showing you have above average electrical consumption. OFGem average is 3500kWh and your's is around 7500kWh, but without knowing your property type its impossible to see if this is a large concern or not.
You Gas consumption is looking to come out at 4718kWh and OFGems average is 20500kWh so well under.
I assume you have Electric heating? If so this would begin to explain the larger electrical consumption.0 -
Hi,
What type of heating do you have?
If it's electric, this does explain the high usage, however, the gas usage may be so low if you have not turned on the heating.
As Fire Fox has already said, it all depends on house appliances and a number of factors.

More concisely:
Over 93 days we used 1197 kWhs electric on one meter and 358 kWhs on a second meter. We also used 762 kWhs of gas.
-that's more all you need to tell us
.
Why do you have two meters for electricity - is this a white meter system that is no longer being used for storage heating?
£75 per month is acceptable. But if you haven't had the heating on it is not. What is it you are using that is eating the power? Or have you nothing on to use the power? Why are you having doubts?
Less numbers, more words, please.0 -
Thank you for your responses its much apprecaited.
Heating = GAS
Ok......
2 bedroom house
No heating on
XBOX 360, Wii, Wireless, 2 PC Systems, 2 Laptops, 2 Tanks for beardies, Flat screen TV. Fridge on level 1 (cat a). Freezer on low (cat a). Hoover twice a week. Washing machine hmmmmm 2 times a week.
Cheers.

Oh sorry one more thing - Meter readings twice is hmmm day rate and night rate0

For an electrcially heated property the number's don't look so bad! What is a concern however is that both sets of readings are recorded as "Normal" this happens when a supplier bills your "two-rate" meter on a "one-rate" tarriff.
What form of electric heating do you have? Storage heating, oil filled radiators, panel heaters?0 -
Hi Stevey G,
I would definitely contact the energy efficiency department, regarding the electricity usage as you say you have not had the heating on as yet. They can look at your average daily usage and check for patterns and discrepancies.
They will also help with reducing the amount of energy that you use.
The gas is low due to not heating the house.

I think your right, as the bill should show a 'night' rate if the tariff is economy 7. This bill looks like you are being billed on a one rate tariff, and as you have electric heating you are normally better off with Economy 7.
